Hier habe ich einige Beispiele für die Nutzung als Aufhellblitz mit der Integration ins jeweilige Umgebungslicht für euch verbereitet.

Mein Fotokollege Peter hat sich bereitwillig bei einem gemeinsamen Fotowalk als Model zur verfügung gestellt.

Diese Integration ins available light gelingt meist recht gut. Deutlich leichter wäre diese jedoch möglich, wenn der Blitz nach oben schwenkbar wäre und so einen indirekteren Blitzeinfluß ermöglichen würde. Leider ist diese Option der Kompaktheit zum Opfer gefallen, aber ein Kompromiss muss immer irgendwo eingegenangen werden.

Here I have prepared some examples of its use as a fill flash, integrating it into the respective ambient light.

This integration into available light usually works quite well. However, it would be significantly easier if the flash could be tilted upwards, thus allowing for a more indirect flash effect. Unfortunately, this option was sacrificed for the sake of compactness, but a compromise always has to be made somewhere.

Kurzum, der Viltrox Spark Z3 ist ein hilfreicher Begleiter für spontane Portraits, der einen enormen Mitnahme-Faktor aufgrund seiner Kompaktheit hat. Ein klappbarer Blitzkopf wäre natürlich das I-Tüpfelchen gewesen, aber auch so kann man mit dem Blitz sehr gut arbeiten und coole Looks schaffen.

In short, the Viltrox Spark Z3 is a helpful companion for spontaneous portraits, and its compact size makes it incredibly portable. A flip-out flash head would have been the icing on the cake, but even without it, the flash works very well and allows you to create some cool looks.

Um den Sinn des Einsatzes etwas zu demonstrieren, habe ich euch hier einige Fotos mit und ohne Blitz angefertigt.

Es entsteht ein deutlich anderer Bildeindruck. Das eigentliche Motiv wird wegen der zusätzlichen Beleuchtung deutlich mehr in den Bildmittelpunkt gerückt und durch den stärkeren Helligkeitsabfall im Hintergrund weiter betont.

Die intuitive manuelle Steuerung des Spark macht es einem einfach, sich an die gewünschte Beleuchtung heranzutatsten.

I found the Viltrox Spark Z3 most helpful for additionally illuminating details, for example in nature.

To demonstrate the purpose of the device, I have taken some photos with and without flash.

The result is a significantly different visual impression. The actual subject is brought much more into focus due to the additional lighting and further emphasized by the greater drop in brightness in the background.

The Spark's intuitive manual controls make it easy to find the desired lighting.

Hier folgen nun einige beispielhafte Reihen, wie man durch die Blitz"menge" deutlich unterschiedliche Bildwirkungen der gleichen Szene erreichen kann.

Ich starte mit einem wirklich kleinen, zarten Pilz am Waldboden.

Ohne Blitz wirkt die ganze Szene flach, und der Pilz stichtaufgrund seiner geringen Größe auch nicht wirklich als Hauptmotiv hervor.

Schon bei geringem Blitzeinsatz (1/64) ändert sich dies direkt und der Blitz wird durch die Ausleuchtung deutlich prominenter in Szene gesetzt.

Bei weiterer Steigerung der Blitzintensität (und gegenregeln der Belichtungszeit) auf 1/32 und 1/16  wird dann der Hintergrund mehr mitbeleuchtet und die "Spot"-Beleuchtung abgemildert:

Here are some exemplary sequences showing how significantly different image effects of the same scene can be achieved through the amount of flash.

 I'll start with a really small, delicate mushroom on the forest floor.
Without a flash, the whole scene looks flat, and the mushroom, due to its small size, doesn't really stand out as the main subject.
Even with minimal flash usage (1/64), this changes immediately, and the flash is made much more prominent by the illumination.
By further increasing the flash intensity (and adjusting the exposure time accordingly) to 1/32 and 1/16, the background is illuminated more and the "spot" lighting is softened:

Auch bei der folgenden Blüte habe ich neben dem Bild ohne Blitz 2 verschiedene Blitzstärken probiert.

Auf solche kurzen Distanzen hat man aber sehr schnell zu viel Licht durch den Blitz auf dem Hauptmotiv und somit eine "unnatürliche" Wirkung. Ich bin eher ein Fan des sparsamen Einsatzes des zusätzlichen Lichtes.

In the following flower photo, I also tried two different flash intensities in addition to the picture without flash.

At such short distances, however, you very quickly end up with too much light from the flash on the main subject, resulting in an "unnatural" effect. I'm more of a fan of using additional light sparingly.

Dementsprechend ist in diesem Fall das Bild mit der geringen Blitzleistung mein Bild der Wahl:

Therefore, in this case, the image with the low flash power is my image of choice:

Die folgende Lichtsituation war deutlich fordernder. Einsetzende Dunkelheit bzw. Dämmerung im Wald, im Hintergrund kann man das Abendrot erahnen. 

Die Blätter im Vordergrund sind letzte "Farbtupfer" im winterlichen Wald, und als solche möchte ich sie auch in Szene setzen.

Ohne Blitz ist davon wenig zu erkennen. Mit zunehmender Steigerung der Blitzleistung wird diese Farbigkeit immer erkennbarer, bei voller Leistung wirkt es aber wieder unnatürlich.

The following lighting conditions were considerably more challenging. Darkness or twilight was setting in in the forest, with the sunset visible in the background. 
The leaves in the foreground are the last "splashes of color" in the winter forest, and I want to present them as such.
Without a flash, this is barely noticeable. As the flash power increases, this color variation becomes more and more apparent, but at full power it looks unnatural again.

Deshalb wäre hier das Bild mit der Blitzeinstellung 1/4 meine Wahl:

Therefore, the image taken with the flash setting of 1/4 would be my choice here:

Bei der nächsten Bildreihe war die Lichtsituation vergleichbar.

Je kürzer die Distanz zum Motiv, desto  stärker wirkt sich das zusätzliche Blitzlicht aus und verstärkt den "Tunnelblick".

The lighting conditions were similar for the next series of images.
The shorter the distance to the subject, the stronger the effect of the additional flash and the more pronounced the "tunnel vision".

Hier wirkt für mich die kleinste zusätzliche Blitzleistung am Natürlichsten, ich würde also das Bild mit 1/32 auswählen.

For me, the smallest additional flash power looks the most natural here, so I would choose the image with 1/32.

Nicht nur in der Natur, sondern auch für alte Industriedetails ist der Blitz sehr nützlich.

Mir hat das Benutzen des Blitzes in diesen Situationen viele neue Inputs gegeben und vor allem die geringe Größe des Blitzes hat ihn mich sehr häufig mitnehmen lassen.

Using the flash in these situations has given me many new inputs, and above all, the small size of the flash has meant that I take it with me very often.

Er kann in vielen Situationen das benötigte Licht zur Verfügung stellen und ist dabei sehr einfach zu bedienen und die Blitzleistung ist sehr gut zu steuern.

Ein großer Vorteil neben der sehr kompakten Bauform ist die gute Kapazität des Akkus,

ich musste den Blitz für meinen kompletten Test nicht nachladen. Selbst wenn, ist er in einer guten Stunde komplett vollgeladen und wieder einsatzbereit. Das Mitführen von Batterie/Akku-Sätzen wie bei anderen Blitzgeräten kann man sich also sparen.

Natürlich ist der Funtionsumfang des kleinen Blitzes eingeschränkt.

Er hat keinen schwenk - oder neigbaren Blitzkopf, indirekteres Blitzen ist so unmöglich.

Auch ist der mitgelieferte Diffusor relativ unnötig, er macht das Licht nicht wirklich weicher.

Der TTL-Modus ist in Ordnung, so bekommt man auf einfachem Weg Bilder, die "richtig" belichtet sind.

Im M-Modus ist leider kein HSS möglich, die kürzeste Belichtungszeit ist dann auf 1/250 beschränkt.

In meinen Augen ist der Viltrox Spark Z3 der ideale Blitz zum Mitnehmen, auch wenn man nicht weiß ob man ihn überhaupt braucht. Kompakt genug zum "Mit in die Tasche-Stecken", leistungsstark genug für viele Momente. Und das zu einem wirklich attraktiven Preis.

The Viltrox Spark Z3 is a really nice, compact flash solution for many occasions.
It can provide the required light in many situations and is very easy to use and the flash power is very good to control.
A great advantage besides the very compact design is the good capacity of the battery,
I didn’t have to reload the flash for my complete test. Even if he is, he is fully loaded in a good hour and ready for use again. The carrying of battery/battery sets as with other flash units can therefore be saved.
Of course, the functional scope of the small flash is limited.
It doesn't have a pivot - or tiltable lightning head, more indirect lightning is so impossible.
Also, the included diffuser is relatively unnecessary, it does not really soften the light.
The TTL mode is fine, so you get simple images that are "correctly" exposed.
Unfortunately, no HSS is possible in M mode, the shortest exposure time is limited to 1/250.

In my eyes, the Viltrox Spark Z3 is the ideal flash to carry with you, even if you don’t know if you need it at all. Compact enough to have "Into the pocket plug-vibes", powerful enough for many moments. And at a really attractive price.
